The FSA's Canteen is looking for a committed and quality-conscious sous chef who is passionate about delivering dining experiences and meeting service of the highest standard. Here you will be part of a small, close-knit team where co-operation and community are in focus.
Your role as deputy manager
As sous chef, you'll be an important part of everyday life, working with the head chef and the team to ensure that the canteen's 200-250 daily guests have a fantastic experience. You will also be responsible for catering for the 8-10 daily meetings that the canteen serves and contribute to the maintenance of coffee machines in both the main building and the Mansion.
You will have a varied workday in a canteen with fixed working hours and holiday closures between Christmas and New Year. In the long term, there is the possibility of additional closing weeks in July (week 29/30/31).
Your most important tasks
- Support the head chef in managing and developing canteen operations.
- Ensure quality and creativity in lunch preparation and meeting service.
- Work closely with the team and contribute to a positive and efficient workday.
- Managing coffee machines and other practical tasks in the canteen and the Mansion.
- Be an active part of the small but strong canteen community.
