Restaurant Frank is a modern bistro located in the centre of Copenhagen. As the first restaurant in the Frank Group, Frank has an uncompromising approach to food and wine served at reasonable prices. In addition to the menu, Frank offers an extensive wine list with 1750 different wines, and in this connection, we are looking for a sommelier who wants to be part of the team, and if you come with a good portion of interest and commitment, we will gladly return the favour. Your role

  • The sommelier at Restaurant Frank plays a key role in ensuring a unique wine experience for guests and being an active part of the evening service. This involves:
  • Guest guidance: The sommelier offers customised recommendations and guidance to guests based on their preferences and chosen dishes, with the goal of enhancing their overall dining experience.
  • Collaboration with Wine Director: Working closely with our Wine Director, the sommelier develops food and wine pairings that support and enhance the flavours of both food and wine.
  • Wine tastings and staff training: The sommelier is responsible for organising wine tastings for both guests and staff. In addition, the sommelier is responsible for training restaurant staff in wine knowledge so that they can pass on knowledge to guests and contribute to the overall experience.
  • Inventory management: The Sommelier supports the Wine Director in managing wine stocks, placing orders, monitoring inventory and ensuring wines are stored correctly and according to best practice. There is a constant focus on ensuring smooth operations so that the restaurant always has the best selection in stock.

 

This position requires a high level of wine knowledge, a passion for creating memorable experiences and the ability to work closely with both the kitchen and service teams.

As a sommelier at Frank, you will be an active part of the wait staff and you will be expected to contribute with your skills as a sommelier in the context of being able to deliver good hospitality in the role of waiter for the guests.

 

Who are you?

The team is international, so you must be able to speak and understand both Danish and English.In addition, we expect the following:

  • You have previously worked with wine at a high level and have a good knowledge of it.
  • You have experience from the floor or other relevant industry.
  • You are motivating to work with.
  • You want to learn more and are passionate about the industry.
  • You can keep your cool in busy situations.
  • You take pride in providing good hospitality.
  • You thrive on evening and weekend work.
  • Salary according to qualifications.
