As a chef at Herthadalen, you will become part of the core team in the kitchen, which includes a production head chef, an administrative head chef, a sous chef, and 2 skilled young chefs, along with apprentices and regular kitchen assistants.
It’s important that you enjoy a fast-paced workday and function well socially. You will also have the opportunity to experience and smell fresh ingredients, which have just been harvested from our own vegetable garden.
Specifically, we are looking for 2-3 chefs who are reliable, have a strong work ethic, and can engage in all tasks in the kitchen. We expect you to approach your tasks with high enthusiasm, a big smile, and the ability to lead and delegate tasks. Additionally, it is crucial that you have a passion for good ingredients, as we are located in the middle of the forest and make use of seasonal vegetables and game.
WHO ARE YOU?
- Have experience with both à la carte and catering.
- Willing to work weekends, as we primarily serve events.
- Interested in promoting local and seasonal ingredients and incorporating them into everything from daily meetings to weddings and large corporate events.
- Bring a positive attitude, motivation, and understand the importance of teamwork across all departments and people in the restaurant.
- Have a car, an electric scooter, or sturdy shoes (since we are a bit out in the forest in Lejre, it’s necessary to be able to get to and from work – possibly via Lejre Station, which is 3.5 km away).
PRACTICAL INFO
- Salary is based on qualifications.
- 37-45 hours per week.
- At least one weekend off every three weeks.
- A healthy and positive work environment with good communication across all departments.
