For more than 175 years, Restaurant Lumskebugten has been located right at the entrance to old Copenhagen next to the famous Lion Gate. Lumskebugten can seat up to 70 guests in its cosy living rooms, several of which function as private dining rooms. In addition to the restaurant, there is outdoor seating in the cosy courtyard for both lunch and dinner during the summer.
As head chef With us, you will be responsible for both the day-to-day running of the kitchen and gastronomic development. You are a skilled and modern leader who ensures that your team functions optimally and delivers high-quality food experiences - every single day. Some other tasks, but not limited to, may also be;

- Shift planning and employee development
- Developing new evening menus with a strong emphasis on seasonal and local ingredients - especially fish, seafood and fresh vegetables
- have your pencil case in order, you know your kitchen percentages
- Work continuously on optimisation - including ordering, inventory management and waste minimisation
- Hygiene and health and safety are a priority and you ensure that our standards are strictly adhered to
As a person You have a great love of craftsmanship and possess strong gastronomic skills. Ensure that the quality is top notch - whether it's classic smørrebrød or ambitious gourmet dinners. Are open to new ideas and play nice with your colleagues
- you are a skilled chef and have at least three years of management experience
- committed and solution-orientated
- has an eye for detail is responsible and decisive
- you follow up on wellbeing in the kitchen
- calm and can keep an overview
You thrive in co-operation with colleagues - also across departments. You see yourself as a kitchen host and the interaction with diners as a positive part of your job. You have the ability to learn new skills quickly. Experience with open sandwiches is a definite plus. You take pride in hosting, demonstrate flexibility and deliver a high level of service.
It is important that you speak and understand both Danish and English
With reference Reporting directly to the CEO and owner and working closely with Restaurant Manager, Henrik Walbom, we will together ensure the overall experience in the restaurant. An important part of this responsibility is to maintain our position as a recognised lunch restaurant. Part of our success lies in the professional collaboration between kitchen and restaurant.
