About the position
Saji is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team on a full-time basis.
You will be responsible for your section and work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth preparation, consistent food quality and an efficient service.
This role is suited to someone who is comfortable in a busy kitchen, takes responsibility for their work and contributes positively to the team.

Saji was founded in December 2022 by Samuel and Jimmy, two best friends who met at culinary school more than a decade ago.
Since then, they have shared a love of cooking and a strong belief in how food can bring people together.
Through Saji, they want to share the warmth and flavours of their homeland, Sumatra, with Copenhagen — and help make the city’s food scene a little more diverse and a little spicier.

Your responsibilities

Take responsibility for your section during preparation and service

Maintain consistent food quality and presentation

Follow recipes, portioning and preparation standards

Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are followed

Organise daily mise en place and preparation

Support the kitchen team during services

Help maintain a clean work area

Assist with inventory and stock rotation
We are looking for someone who
-
Has good knowledge and understanding of Asian flavours
-
Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role

Has experience working in a busy, high-volume restaurant

Has strong organisational and time-management skills
-
Has high standards for food quality and hygiene

Has a reliable, positive and team-focused attitude

Is able to communicate effectively in English

Is willing to master product knowledge, including Indonesian names and terms for dishes, ingredients and cooking techniques
