Sous chef for critically acclaimed restaurant ÅBEN in Kødbyen
ÅBEN is not just a restaurant - it's a gastronomic destination in the centre of the Meatpacking District where food, beer and design come together in one unique experience. Since opening in autumn 2024, the restaurant has already been recognised by the White Guide, which ranks us among the best restaurants in Denmark. Our ambition is clear: to create unforgettable flavours with the best seasonal ingredients and inspiring gastronomic experiments.
We are now looking for a sous chef to help take OPEN even further on its gastronomic journey.
Your role as Sous Chef:
As sous chef at ÅBEN, you will be a central part of a creative and ambitious kitchen led by Thomas Wetle Andersen - previously known from his acclaimed restaurant VesterØL on Læsø. You will have great responsibility and the opportunity to shape menus, develop new dishes and contribute to the constant innovation that our guests have already come to expect.
We expect you to:
- Trained chef with solid experience in quality-conscious kitchens
- Passionate about giving guests an exceptional experience every time
- Is creative, experimental and ambitious about food and ingredients
- Can stay on top of things and thrive in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- Motivated by responsibility and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- A team player with a good mood and positive energy
